Passport? Check. Flirty dresses? Check. High expectations? Check! With my suitcase packed and trying to beat the latest winter storm to hit New York, I headed to JFK where I would spend the next 7.5 hours over the Atlantic.
Safely landed and checked into my room at The Serras Hotel, it was time to explore the city. From boutiques, artisan shops, historical monuments to the local market there was so much to see and do in Barcelona that I had to make sure my wardrobe could keep up.
I made sure I packed items that could go from day to night, i.e., sightseeing to sangria drinking. The key to this was great separate pieces that I could mix & match, and pair with sneakers, boots, heels and sandals.
After hiking Park Güell, visiting the Black Madonna at Montserrat, eating tapas at Bar Cañete, relaxing in Palma de Mallorca and exploring the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia it was time to finally pack my bags and head home.
